My manager's best friend is the owner of Warnock, so if you have a problem with them, let me know, and i can have it taken care of.

Thanks for the offer, hopefully your manager could pass on the following (Kinda long).

I have a 2k3 Maxima SE TE Fully loaded, and my girl bought a 2k2 Sentra SE-R. The original warranty is up on the SE-R since it now has 45k miles.

When my girlfriend and I bought new cars from Warnock Nissan (WN) we bought the most expensive extended warranty from WN. When we bought the warranty from the financial advisor (Michelle I think was her name) we explained that we wanted the best warranty they have and also we asked if it is identical to the NIssan Warranty, we also explained that we meant when we walk in and if there is any issue we don't pay. Michelle also went on to say that they are going to waive the $100 deductible each time we visit them.

Well my girl had electrical issues with her SE-R, when she took it in they said she needed to pay $88 when she asked why they said because she never bought the extended warranty. When she explained that she did and has the receipt to prove it, they told her that the receipt means nothing since it is not in the computer records. They then said that they will look into her buying the warranty, in the mean time the would still diagnose the problem. To make a long story even longer, when she came back to pick up the car they said that they will only charge her $45 since they needed to diagnose the car and replace a fuse and also the fuse was $12.

I was in California at the time and I told my girl not to pay the fee as it means she is agreeing to the terms. The Senior Service Manager (NOT JOE) started to get nasty with her and when I asked to speak to him he stated that she is not going to get her car since she does not want to pay the $45. I explained to him that originally they wanted to charge her $88 which was less that the $100 waived fee that they would charge right from the get go, he stated that means nothing, also he stated that since my girl was talking to him and had me on the phone that is breaking the law and he was going to call the police, because I was intruding on a conversation. Anyway that is not against the law since I had consent from my girl, but thats another issue. While this was all going on the sales person that I bought the car from (Akiem Smith) was kind enough to find out what was going on. Also I was in the process of buying a Nissan Pathfinder Armada ($45K). I explained to the Senior Service Manager of this and that I think I was misled on the extended warranty I bought. He said that this means nothing to him. After I was off the call I found out he called Akiem's manager to find out about me buying another vehicle (by the way this would be 4 vehicles from WN) to see if I was telling the truth.

Anyway the only way she was able to get the car back was by them taking out their $12 fuse, which we found out later that they took from the car's spare set. So they wanted to charge her $12 for her own fuse.

Right now I don't think I will be doing any more business with Nissan especially Warnock Nissan, I heard that Toyota and Honda does not treat their customers like such. I was planning on going in there tomorrow as I am now back from California. I am also thinking of asking for a refund on the extended warranty, it was never in their system and we had paid for it, so it was as if it never existed but they had cash in hand.

That really sucks - i'm going to print this out, and give it to my manager, nad tell her to tell her friend of your problem, and maybe she would be able to do somehting on refunding you the money you paid for the extended warranty. Especially b/c they will lose all future business, i'm sure they'll be inclined to make you happy.

Honestly I don't mind keeping the warranty if they would hold up to their end of the bargin. I feel as if I have been taken for a ride (and not in a Nissan).

Thanks 2k3TEMax
