Deal gone BAD with Top Element Tuning...
Well I will first say that I bought a TET carbon-fibre radiator shroud from slammed95 (Andy) months ago, and it was great. Came quickly, nice replies, excellent product.
Then about 1 month ago, I bought 2 carbon-fibre fender supports brackets from him. Now they were only $20 and not a necessity, so I didn't sweat not getting them in a week. But over a month later, he will not respond to my emails or PMs, I have no clue as to where the product is, and I'm out $20 + the cost of new fender support brackets.

Vyrus I'm sorry to hear about your problem... unfortunately I've had a bad experience myself. I ordered a set of Carbon Fiber door sills for my 4th Gen on Memorial day... May 31 and I still havent received them. After talking to Andy on AIM he said that the batch of door sills they had produced had come out with too many flaws so they had to produce some more. That was last time I talked to him was over a month ago and I still havent received anything, no emails, no response, no anything. I'm not that bitter just yet but I would like my sills or atleast my money back.

im sick of hearing andy this, andy that, get his *** in here then and have him explain why i see him on the org every other day and im out too $65 dollars( c.f. door pillars) and its been 3 months, so now what? i just pm him today and i seen he was on the org, whats up? i dont want to hear "oh, he a great guy" well, he lost a good customer with plenty of cash who loves c.f.... where you at andy? hello, andy.............................................. .......................................
You people need to stop harrassing Andy and the good folks at Top Element Tuning. I guarantee that they're in no way trying to scam anyone out of their money. They're great people and have made several one-off projects for me, spending countless hours to get the details right and make sure i'm satisfied. As many of you already know, Andy has been in and out of the country, and for technical reasons has trouble logging onto the .org. Just believe all the people who have nothing but great things to say, it's true. For circumstances that can't be publicly discussed, there's a reason for the lack of communication. Just be patient, you're parts will arrive when you least expect them.

i hope so, i wasnt tring to be a dic k , i just wish someone from tet would talk to me, let me know the deal, you know. cause i love c.f. and i want to be a loyal customer, i will have to see how this plays out

I ordered a cf shroud in May. It took him nearly a month to ship the item. Once I recieved the shroud, there was a defect/melted spot on top of it. I contacted Andy regarding the defect ,and he said that a replacement shroud would be sent within a few weeks. PMed/e-mailed him again regarding the shroud.
0n 6/18/04 this is the pm I recieved:
BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! So I waited another month, giving Andy/TET the benefit of the doubt. I constantly PMed/e-mailed him and have not recieved a response since.
I thought to myself, "why don't I contact someone else from TET?" So I dropped a line to Derrick regarding the issue with Andy and the shroud. I received a response on 7/4/04 saying:

On 7/26/04 this is what he said:

SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND TOP ELEMENT TUNING!!!! UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!!

Well I retract my two previous post; because I was able to talk to Andy's brother via AIM. He was very polite regarding the issue I had. I can say that they are working on getting everything ironed out, so be patient. I know how everyone feels about being left in the dark for so long, but have faith in ***. I have faith in them again.

This andy character has *****. he did the same thing to me. although i did not pay for it, but i did win something from him that he has promised to give out at a raffle at the first mcc meet. ignored my pm's too. all because of this, i will never buy anything from him. i had plan in buying stuff from him, but this experince gave me no faith in this guy.
TET has been great for me. I bought CF fusebox covers and door pillars, got them a couple days after I ordered, and for a killer price. Since I also know Andy in real life, I can vouch for his credibility.
i think TET can be very good to some of those, but seems like many of the other customer's have problems with them also. Can you trust TET? i guess you just have to take your chances and see what happens.
I never got my CF fender supports. It's meen many months now, I've just given up. I had no problems when I ordered my radiator shroud, but I would never order from them again.
