Yeah...all I can say is it was an experience. Was there for nearly 6 months, selling Nissans for some of the biggest scumbags I've had the pleasure of meeting on this planet.
I did pick up a lot of insight into the way things worked. I found out about dealer cash, Nissan, and got to work off a lot of invoices. One thing I can share with anybody looking to buy a car is, never pay sticker (sure you know this) and only pay $3000 to $4000 off sticker. If they won't do it, get up and leave... 99% of the time they won't let you leave, and will agree, but if you get stuck in the 1%, then they'll probably call you within a few hours. If not, go somewhere else, because moving units is more important then making money, especially towards the end of the month. When buying a car, go looking towards the end of the month, thats when you get the best deal, and you might even get it bellow invoice. Keep in mind, I worked at a dealship that sold anywhere from 100 to 140 cars a month.
In defense of sales people: Where I worked, I worked with some pretty good people, in sales. (The managers were another story!) There is a saying in the car industry, "Buyers are Liars". I ran into that a lot actually, but I also understood car sales people were not a trusted like. I guess thats why I opted to leave, I needed a steady paycheck and a rest from attacks against my morals and integrity!
ANy questions? Just ask

PS: THe only car Nissan sells, unless its a 2004, that'll be really hard to get anything bellow sticker is a 350Z. I sold two last month for invoice, but they were 2004s and the dealship had to get rid of them.
