How i love the dealership...
How i love the dealership...
So this may be a rant, but i do want some opinions on this. So i finally found time to get my car service. 45k miles and a list of fixes such as, shifter broken, hazards not working, random rattles, weather stripping and severe shimmy when breaks are applied. I dropped my car off last night, was off of work all day and free besides for class, so seems simple right? Aparantly not.
I got a call while in class at 3 pm saying to call back, i called back by 4, when i told them i was available. They commented about the car and how they liked it and then came the fun part. Service was fine, but offered cleaning of cabin filter and engine flush. Decided on engine flush being i'm yet to get one.
They cut my rotors, fixed the weather stripping. Hazards were due to someone disconnecting them when i had the system installed. Shifter they thought i took apart myself, told me just to get an aftermarket one. The rattles were my struts, but didn't tell me if they were fixing that.
And of course didn't notice some things. They said the tsb for the rear shelf was really nothing, but i insisted them doing it anyways. Then he said nothing would be covered under warranty because i was passed 36,000. Good try, i have the extended, so they changed that.
I figured he would just say ok come get it by 6 or whenever, and then he goes ok i'll call you tomorrow when its all done. Tomorrow? I dropped it off the night before, they never got to it till the afternoon, and then there service people left early for the night?
Awsome so now i don't have a ride to work tomorrow, and none of my friends want to wake up at 9am to drive me. They said they tried to reach me, but i clearly wrote that i would be in class from 1130-4. Why couldn't they have just called before then being i did tell them when i was available. Any comments on this? Sorry for the long post.
Oh yeah they didn't say anything about the intake or y-pipe either.

You can get them back
I had a similar experience with my dealer. Reg 7,500 mile service + Skyview rood leaked, and rattle with the rear power shade (Elite Package). It took two days. After calling them, and leaving several messages for the Service Manager, stating I needed to know when my car would be ready. I recieved a call back at 4:50 saying that they needed another day. When I dropped it off, they assured me that it would be done by 2:00.
I received the survey from Nissan, and tore the dealer a new one. They probably do not want to see me ever again, but I wouldn't take it back to them anyway

I see how you got your name Mystery Man. How could you possibly have 45,000 miles on a 2004 Maxima when you go to class and work on weekends (whenever?). Are you the 2nd owner? How could the car possibly have 45,000 miles on it otherwise.
