Service department tude

Hi guys, I had a bad time with Westbury Nissan today and wanted to let you guys know incase you are near or want to bring your ride there. I spoke to the service manager on the tel and told him my service engine soon light was on, I have 7k miles. He said bring it it. So I did and when I got there this guys ranting about how stupid people are. Someone behind the counter tells me to pull my car in to have it tagged. I did and waited about 15 mins for someone to tag the car. the woman saw noone was responding to her page to help me so she decides to help and tag the car. I asked her if I should inform her of my issuse with the car and she asked me to tell the service manager. I start a friendly conversation knowing this guys hot under the collar and he replies to everything I say with a snide remark. He shut down his PC and walked away from the counter muttering under his cowardly breath. Now I'm in a worse mood than him. I returned to my car and told the lady taking the info I'm sorry but I'm out of hear! I woulden't bring my car bak there if they said they would fix it for free for life. I will be sending an e-mail to every manager at that dealership and Nissan corporate offices. BTW this site helped me fix the problem today myself. Whos stupid now?

Nissan dealers need to step up their service department. Ther are some better ones out there, but too many of them suck. So far for me has been about 50/50, the dealers in better economic areas seem to have better service from my experience.

I e-mailed Nissan Corporate and Westbury Nissan and attached a link to this page. They should know how their customers feel.

So sorry to hear about your experience. I can say it was not a normal service visit. Westbury Nissan has a 96% Customer satisfaction rating, so this is very supprising.

Do you know WHO the service writer was?

We do want you back, and i will be bringing the owner upto speed on your visit.

Learning from mistakes is what seperates good from bad service.

Again from the Westbury Nissan employees, SORRY

I hate to say it but I have a certified warranty and yet still to this day they deny me at westbury nissan. I went there a month ago and the guy just tells me to come back another day, not even wanting to set a apointment or anything. I was planning to drop the car and have them look at it on their own time but nobody cares, sometimes makes me think why I bought a nissan.

From: Long Beach, CA is where i live. Queens NYC is always home.
Not all Nissan Dealers are like that. I`m a service technician for a Nissan dealer in CA. My particular dealer tends to try to throw out the red carpet for our clients. I have pretty much all the hooked up Z`s in my area asking for me to work on their cars...Kinda like a barber...lol I used to Live in NYC and worked for Star Nissan back in 01. Funny how all of the dealers nationwide are SLOW and they blew u off like that .... as a tech, let me say that we need work these days to pay the bills. If I were u, I`d just goto another dealer and see if they take care of you. good luck
