I BRONG MY 95 GLE TO BE SERVICED BECAUSE OF VIBRATION WHEN I'M ON THE HWY THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED NEW TIRES SO THEY ROTATED THE ONES ON THE CAR AND CHARGED $150 JUST FOR THAT. ON MY WAY HOME I HEARD THE SAME NOISE CALLED THEM BACK THEY TOLD ME TO BUY 4 NEW TIRES I DID $180. ON MY WAY FROM THE TIRE SHOP SAME NOISE SO I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP IN MY AREA. THE GUY DROVE THE MAX AROUND THE BLOCK AND TOLD ME IT WAS THE RIGHT SPINDLE THE NEXT DAY I BRONG IT IN HE CHANGED IT WITH A BRAN NEW ONE AND CHARGED ONLY $150. I CALLED STAR NISSAN THE NEXT DAY DEMANDED MY MONEY AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I CANNOT GET IT BACK SO I WAS JERK OUT OF $330

2) Lesson learned... don't go to Star. They'll smile and act all friendly and act like your best friend but once you turn around, they whip out the knife.

Star sucks. They jerked me out of $2000 when I went in for my 60K service and I had to completely replace my rear brake assembly (calipers, rotors, cable) and CV boot. And they tell you to come back "tomorrow morning" when you ask for an oil change.

I went to Biener for an oil change. I set up an appointment but couldn't make it. Went back the next day unannounced and they took my car in. 30 minutes, in and out. I'm going to go to Biener for all my dealer needs. Screw Star.

 

Star SUCKS! They jerked me out of 30 dollars. Its not a lot of money. But their bad service could have caused me INJURY! I took my car in for a smoke from under the hood and a loud whine from the engine bay. I figured it was the alternator or the belts. My car had power.. But if I reved too high (Over 3000rpm) there would be smoke and a burning smell. I drive the car over to them at 6pm.. And I tell them the symtopms and tell them the alternator is out the door. And there was smoke. I get the car back at 4pm. I was fully expecting everything covered under warranty. But they charged me 36 dollars for belt adjustment. They didn't even replace the belts. I would think if the belts were the problem. And I did tell them there was smoke. You would replace the belts because they are damaged. But no, they didn't. They just charged me for an adjustment. I drive the car and there is still a whine. My lights still dim unless I'm on the gas. But no smoke and the whine isn't as loud. The car would stumble on startup. I assume from trying to crank the messed up alternator. Anyways, 4 months later. I start the car one morning and there is smoke.. Lots of it. I turn the car off and pop the hood. There is FIRE comming from the alternator. I had to use a can of compressed air to blow it out. The next morning I had the car flatbeded to Koeppel Nissan. They ended up changing my alternator, my battery and my belts. All for free. No hassle. If Star had done their job right the first time. I wouldn't have had a fire in my engine bay. Don't go to Star Nissan in Queens!!! They suck!! They are scam artists. The place should be burned down. I feel that strongly about them.

the star dealership is just as bad. i paid for a base 1996 max SE with security and convenience package. all i got was the security, no convenience. the alarm wasnt even factory, i was missing the lit vanity mirrors, power seat, and i think i was supposed to get the power trunk. those bastards.
