In the end, don't let him install anything. It's one thing to install something and f up. No one is perfect. He f'd up and won't even warranty the parts he f'd up. Pretty sad and cheap if you ask me.

When you provide something or some type of service that isn't what it is supposed to be, the customer is going to win.

I also must state that I and people I have recommended have had no problems with him. His customers service has always been excellent.

Jeff has done almost all the work on my car. His work and customer service has always been nothing short of excellent. Beyond that, Jeff will (at least before this last incident) let you watch him work and talk to him. He's also accepted shipment of some of my mods so I wouldn't have to lug them out to his shop.
On one visit I was having a couple of things (y-pipe, tint) done on my car so I asked Jeff to flush the tranny fluid, including dropping the pan and cleaning the screen. At this point I already had his first gen VB which had performed flawlessly for several thousand miles. I replaced the old tranny fluid with Mobil 1 Synthetic for the first time. When I went to leave the shop the car reversed out of the bay but would not move forward in first gear. Jeff took a look at it, called his tranny guy, and said that the synthetic tranny flluid may have done something (can't remember exactly what he said). He put it back on the lift, dropped the pan and replaced the VB with a improved 2nd gen VB (improved because it firmed up the 2-3 shift as well as the 1-2). The car worked beautifully after that. No extra charge at all.

Bottom line, I'd go back to Jeff and Maximum Tuning in a heartbeat.

Well i am pleased that you are satisfied. Maybe because your older you get better treatment and service. According to Jeff after all i am not mature and that makes me a bad Customer(he had no problem taking my money). I asked if i could hang around the shop and take pics. He told me to leave my camera and he would do it, then he told me to go to the movies or something.Bottome line is I am not worried. What goes around comes around.

Well sorry to hear about your bad experience. However, according to your post he did try to solve the situation, just not on a date that you wanted. It is unfortunate that he might change his style of doing business because of this. That was one of the things that made his shop unique.

I won't comment on the zack situation because it's not of my involvement, but as far as my dealings with Jeff and co. at MaximumTuning, it's been nothing but pleasant.

I've been to him over three times for performance upgrades and have spoken to him over the phone for various questions and he's always been polite, courteous, and knowledgeable.

No work that he's ever done on my car has ever encountered any problems after the fact.

As far as the discrimination against the younger crowd goes, I don't see it. I'm 20 years old now, and I've been bringing my car to Jeff since age 18. He's always treated me as respectfully as anyone can.

Zack...you already said your piece man. we saw both sides of the stories. we know what happened...let it go. this is strictly a shop experience (which you posted and described). do not turn this thread to another "i'm a victim" thread.

I also went to Jeff but for minor work such as tranny fluid change and suspension install. He is a very nice guy, is decently priced and I would go to him in the future.

Danny your right and i am dealing with it. I am having the work redone in 2 weeks at the inifniti dealership by a tech but the problem is my other thread was locked and then all these guys are comming in here say how great Jeffs work and customer service was, but in doing so they are overshadowing the relevance of my post in this thread. I want people to know that there is still the chance they the word done by Jeff could be crappy(like mine).I am not saying he is not capable of doing satisfactory work but i am also not saying he cannot make mistakes.
If you love Jeff's shop and work so much please start your own feedback thread. Don't post in mine.

why can't they post in here? do you just want ALL negative feedback for MT here and no positives so you can have someone back your negative feedback?

You posted that you had a negative experience at Jeff's shop....it also gives others a chance to comment on their positive experience at Jeff's shop also.

please don't drag this out any further.

How about this....i'll lock this thread so no one else will be able to post their positive feedback on top of your negative....ok? PM me if you want to discuss.
