lowered car, alignment and nissan... good idea?
I need to get my car aligned, but I'm having trouble finding a near buy shop that is expierenced with lowered cars.
Anyone know if its an OK or good idea to go to nissan to get it checked?
and if anyone knows any shops in the long island/nassau area, that'll be cool

Its definitely not a good idea to take it to Nissan. Once they see that its lowered u got trouble. So now if anything goes wrong on the car, even the stereo the dealership will find some way to blame it on the lowering or aftermarket equipment.
Funny story -
I put an aftermarket K&N Filter on my car a week after buying it...while putting it in, I disconnected the MAF Sensor and the check engine light came on. At the time, I didn't realize how to reset the ECU myself, so I took it back to the dealership, totally willing to pay to get it fixed (I know better now, heh).
The mechanic went OFF on me about how Nissan spent millions of dollars making this car the best it could be, and I shouldn't ever change anything on it, because the performance couldn't get any better.
So I said fine and decided to go somewhere else. It was near closing time for the dealership anyway.
Before I left the dealership, I decided to pop in and say "hi" to the saleswoman who sold me the car, because she's related to my best friend.
Next thing I know, I see the MECHANIC driving out with a SLAMMED 240SX, aftermarket wheels, and beefy exhaust system..... I swear I heard the growl of an aftermarket filter too.
What a f***ing d**k.
