Custom Maxima Sidemarkers for 5th gens.

They are POS... Plain and simple. My retention clip rusted and snapped so my front passanger marker fell out. CM will do nothing about it although I was told when I ordered them that they were OEM quality and they are obviously not. Since my OEM sidemarkers that were on the car for 4-5 years do not have a spot of rust on the clips at all.

Just another I will never buy from CE again and I suggest you do the same threads... BTW, I find it funny that while I was on hold I listened to a recording telling me about how they go the extra mile for customer service and they built CE with great CS and a dedication to the customers...

Pic of the Clips:

$70 after shipping...

I just know A LOT of people on this board have them and are still buying them, and I think they deserve to know what they are buying and that they ARE NOT OEM quality.

Why not take out the clips off your OEM markers and use them? Us I35 guys have to re-use the OEM ones on the clear lenses for the back.

The rears just unscrew, the fronts don't. I tried and they are not supposed to come out. So once it breaks... it is toast.

mine broke on my way to california which caused it to hang down on the side of my car for 100+ miles doing 85+. It caused alot of damage to the bumper (paint) but then i totaled the car a few days later so i guess it didn't matter

I was just looking into getting some clear sides. Any other sources for (better quality) side markers?

I don't know about better quality, but I bought both front and back for less than $30. I bought them from http://stores.ebay.com/makotoautotrends. Like I said I don't know if they are any better but it's half the price your paying. I bought them through thier E-bay store. Then they said they wouldn't ship the front and back corners together. I told them that they had sent an e-mail saying they would. I just took the 2 e-mails for each of the items, cut and pasted them together, and they honored it.

I got them from eAutoWorks.com for $32.95.
No problems yet.
