Where to begin...
I have heard rumors about them but I wanted to give them a chance. On June 1, 2006, I made a purchase worth $166.02 for 4 items. To make this story short, I received 2 of the 4 items on June 14, which is pretty decent delivery time. However, after several emails and painful wait time, I did not receive the rest of my order.
Everytime I talk to someone (Nick, Jose, etc..) they keep saying the same thing, "We'll have it in soon", "It'll be in next week", "It should be here any day". Finally on July 5th, I couldn't wait any more and cancelled the order. They gladly did so and gave me a cancellation number on July 6th.
They told me at the time that the refund will take 2 weeks. I said fine that's great thanks. After 2 weeks, nothing. So I talk to someone (I believe Jose) and told me that all refunds take 4~6 weeks. I said fine, I don't know why it would take that long to refund me but go ahead and hold my funds.
4~6 weeks past... UNTIL THIS DAY, I have not received my refund. After countless amounts of my emails being ignored, I finally got to talk to someone live on their website. Here is a part of it...

This is completely REDICULOUS and I suggest you guys to stay away as much as possible. I paid them instantly with my Paypal account and I don't know why it's so hard to send me a refund the same way with couple of clicks.
He told me to call Greg @ 203-730-0858 tomarrow. I'll see what he has to say.

Now it's 10/8/06 and STILL NOTHING. (OVER 4 MONTHS!!!) Avoiding ALL my emails, ALL my phone calls. This is REDICULOUS for 80 something dollars from a company of that size. What a terrible way to treat customers.
They are scum... They treat people like $hit and have no customer support/service. Nothing but BS lies just to get rid of you for now, and then they just totally ignore you.

dude if your in NYC Danbury is about 40 min to an hr away Id be at their door BEEFIN if they know the problem can reach them from locals they may be a lil bit more responsive to us locals and Im not suggesting you go get arrested or anything but let them know you can come knocking that usually changes attitudes quickly

I was actualy considering taking a ride up there to pick up some springs, but maybe I'll be reconsidering that. You know, its not like we have this massive support from the aftermarket. Well I am like you all, order some phase two fenders in August. Everyone kept blaming Sorona for the fenders not being made and shipped to them. After about two months I could not wait any longer and cancel the order. Sept 15 the order was canceled and I got the same run around and I am now out $505.33 because they have not refunded me my money. Should I contact the Danbury police? Is that how us victims are going to get our money back? DOes anyone have the phone number to Danbury police? Like someone has already said Custom Enterprise does not have a web site and they are not answering the phone!

You are actually quite correct - and since it was pointed out to me I will find time to edit my posts.
At the end of the day however - he did the same thing. He ordered parts not knowing how he would pay for them or with no real intention of doing so. If HE was a man he would find some way to pay something - ANYTHING would make me believe what you have stated.
I'm a damn hard working small business owner myself - making money in this business is difficult but I wouldn't trade it for a cube farm ANYDAY and I have 10 years as a degreed mechanical engineer so I do have choices.
The one thing I would never do is steal -no matter what happened I'd pay my debt. It is flat out wrong and deceitful. If I have to pump gas I'll do it - no one will EVER say that I stole from them.

So, what is the bottom line concerning CE?
Clearly a crime has been committed. Two questions remain:
Do they, the proprietors plan to make the defrauded consumers whole by refunding the stolen money?
If not, then does the Danbury DA plan to prosecute these individuals?
I suppose a third question would be for you defrauded consumers to initiate a class action lawsuit.
Fortunately (for CE) I'm not in your shoes. I hope each and every one of you consumers who have been victims of this fraud exhaust every form of recourse. This is criminal.

I do think that most fraud in our industry is a result of the consumers inability to follow up with the proper authorities and take action BEFORE the assets of the company are gone. I am not sure where debt to consumers falls in the line of 'who gets paid first' but I'm guessing it's down the line.
Going after personal assets would clearly require much more - proof of intention to defraud or other such stuff would likely be required.

Custom Enterprise has declared bankruptcy i have recievied an updated letter from the conneticut bankruptcy court showing me as a creditor along with American Express Small business accounts and some other people i doubt i will get all of my money back...sorry but greg is in all accounts a piece of crap.
