In a nutshell, after replacing the two rear oxygen sensors (cali emission spec) I got the horrible code Three way catalyst function. The FSM said to check all sorts of parts and thats when I called Dave to talk about the problem.

He right away said nope get the bank 1 pre-cat and that'll solve the problem. So I did (was expensive, naturally) but I got all required gaskets. Also, the invoice was a tiny bit LOWER in cost than the list price for that part!

Popped the pre-cat in and the code went away.

Dave is a great resource to check with regarding any nissan vehicle, get some advice before just randomly trying to replace parts to fix a problem.
