I took my 95 Maxima SE to Murdock's on Winchester Rd for routine maintenance this summer. I had some oil dripping on the drive, so I asked them to check the oil pan seal for a leak while they were at it. I told them I had just had the oil changed the week before. (Nuts!)

As it turned out, the oil wasn't coming from the oil pan. It was tranny fluid. So they installed a new tranny seal.
They also went ahead and changed my engine oil, even though I told them I had just had it changed the week before. And they charged me for the engine oil change.

They "sabotaged" my car on the same day:

As part of this maintenance, they rotated my tires/wheels. I have aftermarket wheels that have lug covers, so I didn't know until about a week later that the service tech had cross threaded one of the studs on the front wheel so bad that he couldn't get a lug nut on it. (It was ground almost smooth.) He just put the lug cover back on, and didn't say s**t! I flunked tech inspect and missed test & tune because I only had 4/5 lugs on my front wheel!

I wrote the General Manager at Murdock's to complain. It was the most civil e-mail I could've written. My intention was to inform him of the problem, and to ask him to make it good.

I never even got an answer. No phone call, no e-mail, no letter, no nothing. Did this guy used to work at Stillen, or what?? I won't be going back. Caveat emptor.

Well, it's part your fault. If the estimate did not have your signature authorizing the repairs that were performed you simply don't have to pay
