Ok guys been looking to save some $$$$. So went to a Nissan dealer in MA to get a lease on a 08 Altima 3.5 coupe( Tech Package) Spoke to two sales men over the phone as my wife and I have been shopping and tired of the run around at the dealers so did everthing over the phone and email. I have copies of everthing. So they have a deal right now were they will give you up to 4k over KBB on your trade, Cool cause we have some negitive we will be rolling. The lease deal is 2k OOP and 12k miles 36 months for $295. Perfect So with the trade rollling about 5k( Giving my $15,500 for the Max) we are looking at $460 + - a few bucks. Both sales guys told me this twice as I checked with them before I drove out there. So last night I go there money in hand and WOW they now tell me its $565.85 WTF happened to the numbers we discused on the phone and email. OK I'm a fund accountant for a living and very good with numbers I have a lease calculator and with the figues they gave me,Phone and email the residual or the car after 36 months and 36,000 miles would be $21,200
( Thats the only way the origonal 295 a month would work) Now the residual is 17,500 and the payment ballons to $565.85. I was so pissed I just left did not even argue one bit. But called the dealer today and spoke to the GM told him the whole story and he said the residual is not adjustable. WOW just got off the phone with them they said they ran the wrong car-2 days and no one saw this till I complained. Never again to them..
