Some cautions about EverythingNissan/EverythingInfiniti dot com

  1. No extra discounts for NicoClub/Maxima.org members
  2. Must call to ensure they actually have a part in stock because their inventories aren't always right
  3. Don't use the everythingnissan.zendesk.com returns/RMA/core stuff, because no one checks it. They actually use dealerdirectparts.zendesk.com, even though this is never linked to from their actual store website
  4. Expect to leave voicemail messages because no one besides the parts ordering front-line folks answer their phones
  5. Why mess with a good thing? Just use CourtesyParts.com instead!

Full rant:
So I replaced my rear precat with an aftermarket one, but no one makes aftermarket front pre-cats for the 6th gen 6MTs.

Courtesy has the OEM precat for ~$560 (local dealer wanted $800, was "willing to do" $710), but EverythingNissan (henceforth "EN") is a NicoClub sponsor also had it for about $560, with the claims that they have extra discounts for NicoClub members. I called after being unable to find any kind of coupon code to reflect the whole Nicoclub/Maxima.org thing and, surprise, they don't do anything special for the Nissan community because their prices are already "warehouse, wholesale low." Great.

In any case, Courtesy showed it as being a "ship 2-4 days after order" type of part but EN said they had it in stock.

I place the order, kick back and wait. And wait. And wait. I call about it two business days later and, surprise! That precat wasn't in stock and should ship in about 5 more business days!

I was not happy.

Whatever, part finally ships four business days after I order it and gets from Scottsdale, Arizona to Louisville, KY in three more business days.

Work gets wrapped up that day, I take the old precat home and file a core charge request through their website (after going through the process of signing up for a forum: Create account. No, you need upper and lower case and a number and a non-alaphanumeric symbol in your password. Oh, re-create account. Verify email. Log in.) as directed and nothing happens.

I forgot about it for a while, then leave them a note on their RMA request page (it opens a support ticket, essentially) TWO WEEKS after requesting the RMA. I call them the next morning and have to leave a message because their returns department won't pick up.

The guy calls back eventually and is all confused because RMA #31 was done in October of 2010, not April of 2012, so huh wuzzat?? I give him all the same information I already entered into my original RMA request, he creates a new ticket for me and emails me the RMA.

Oh. THAT'S why it was ignored: EverythingNissan doesn't ACTUALLY use the obnoxious Zendesk site their store links to, everythingnissan.zendesk.com. They use dealerdirectparts.zendesk.com instead, presumably because they are part of some larger network of shady, manufacturer-wholesale parts conglomerate.

So, basically, there is absolutely no reason to buy from EN unless you live in Arizona and would get the part faster than if you ordered from Courtesy. For the rest of us, don't mess with Courtesy's superior service--they are constantly referenced here for good reason.
