Conicelli Nissan Parts (long)
I purchased parts from Conicelli Nissan through their website, www.partznet.com. They also sell Toyota, Mitsubishi, etc. parts. They offer 25% off retail list and free shipping over $25 (check the website).
I ordered about $100 worth of parts. The automated website listed the ship-out date as one week from my order placement. A few days after the 1 week time period passed, the order status was still listed as "processing". Afterwards I emailed them 2 or 3 times but no replies. After a week passed I called them and got a hold of a person who said one washer for the front stabilizer bar endlink was backordered. He couldn't explain why they couldn't spend 2 minutes to email me back with that info
. So I told them to remove that item, ship out my parts, and email the tracking number.
Two days later they sent me an email to confirm shipment. They signed up for the cheapest UPS tracking service which doesn't list the estimated delivery date and location. A few days of tracking and I can see my package heading to NY... and I live in CA! At that time I was pretty certain it was a clerical error and they gave me the wrong tracking number, but the thought of them sending my parts to some other state p!ssed me off.
I emailed them for the correct tracking number and no response. I called them and the regular parts guy couldn't get me the correct tracking number because there are 2 guys there that handle online transactions and they couldn't find them
.
I ordered an inner tie rod in my batch. To properly install it you need a locking plate. Usually these small items are included- for example when you buy an outer tie rod it will include a new locknut, castle nut and a cotter pin). To be certain, I asked them if the locking plate was included with the inner tie rod and they said NO and was certain of it because they ordered it many times before. So i went ahead and included the locking plate in my batch.
I eventually received the package. When I opened the inner tie rod box it came with that plate (and also the bellows boot's inner clamp which was nice)! Their misinformation cost me $7. I ordered 2 pieces of the door switch rubber caps and they only shipped me one
. The rubber caps are about $4 apiece but I'm going to have them ship one out at their expense.
The prices are attractive and free shipping for orders of $25+ is a plus, but their service is subpar.
