Thinking of buying a '01 GLE soon. Has anyone here purchased a car from either King's Nissan or Bay Ridge Nissan in Brooklyn, NY. Did they give a fair price and do they have good service after the sale? Thanks.

DON'T LIKE BROOKLYN

I have never bought car from neither dealership but I did look at infinitis at those places and they did not seem the nicest.
not that this will help..but the only two places i like in brklyn are Jag up on coney and Infiniti over near the boardwalk.

I know people who were happy with Star Nissan in Queens..
but remember...i have NEVER bought cars at any of these places...i am just telling you what i have been told by friends. GOOD LUCK.

if you wanna travel..i have always thought that dealerships in the more suburban areas were better.......like up near scarsdale..or great neck.

AGAin..I wish you good luck.

Brooklyn Nissan Dealerships

Although I hadnt bought a car at Bay Ridge, I did have an experience with their service department. Much to my pleasure, they were efficient in returning my 00GXE, and keeping me informed. However, my car is currently in Warnock Nissan in Morristown NJ, where it stalled last weekend, the same problem that initially brought me to the Bay Ridge service shop 3 weeks ago.

Kings Nissan

Here we go...I bought from Kings Nissan. 2000 AUTO SE fully loaded, paid $26,700. Those guys are not so friendly, plus trying to cheat you every second you don't pay attention. Service department is very bad! I have to bring my car in 2-3 times before they admit the problem
Would not recommend them to you.

Bay ridge Nissan

I bought my Maxima from them, they ripped me off, said original 37K miles, but later 3 months when i took my car to other shop and they lifted it and discovered almost all parts are heavily worn and needed to be replaced and they informed me the way they were worn out car had at least 120k miles on it, so bay ridge rolled odometer, and now i cannot do anything to sue bay ridge since carfax and all records show that car had 37k miles at time of sale, i ended up paying 3k in repair costs to restore my maxima 1997 gle, paid 19k to buy maxima, and now feel that with this kind of money i could buy brand new maxima SE.

So if you can, avoid bay ridge nissan at all costs, their service dept if sees some problem will never tell whats wrong with your car unless you tell them.

They do not give a s%$# about you or your car, only about your money.

Do not buy from bay Ridge Nissan, they do not give fair prices, and they are not happy to sell cars if you want to pay in the full, they will try to force you into financing or lease, because that way they will get more money for this car then it is original value of $28k, for example if you use financing you will end up with total of $35-38k after all payments are done.

Their service stinks, and they do not know a **** about problems and do not give a **** about you.

I have been burned by them, and had to pay $2k at other dealers to restore my car after they rolled back odometer.

I agree with most of what you said. However, they are still a decent dealer in comparison to other Nissan dealers in Brooklyn...

What do you mean they rolled back your odometer, why??

Dude I bought maxima 1997 gle from them 6 months ago and had a lot of problems! they said one owner old guy and had only 37k miles on odometer, but 3 months later it started to give me a lot of plms and i took her to other mechanic and he told me the way she is very worn out, she had at least 100k miles on her and odometer was rolled back. Had to replace alternator, batteries, timing belt, brakes, spark plugs and drive axle and from i understood those things are not supposed to be replaced till car has at least 70k miles and mine had so called "37k" miles!

also later when i cleaned up car inside, i found a small wallet for bussiness card and inside was a card for real estate salesman in NJ so i understood very well guy had a lot of miles all over NJ.

Tak chto smotri v oba chuvak i ne zevai!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you looking to buy? those ugly 2000 or 2001 maxima?

Sorry to hear about your problems cooler2000.
Unfortunately, I can completely imagine them doing that with the odometer! Just the way things are in Brooklyn. Definitely a better idea to buy from a more sub-urban area dealership...
As far as myself, I bought from them in August '99 a new 2000 Maxima SE, base model and was happy with the price I guess, got it for invoice. The service definitely sucks there though. I paid to do my rotors and breaks even though they were still under warranty, but found out too late. They look to rip you off every time you come in for an oil change. Tell everyone there that if you do not follow their list of what needs to be done, which would cost over $200 every time, they will void your warranty if any problems arise... So if anything, one should try to stay away from there service dept. As far as buying new cars, they seem to give decent prices...

A few hundred below 25K including a car alarm, all taxes and fees(registration, plates...)
Also they gave me free life-time oil change. But I hate going there for that...
How much did you pay for you GLE? We were there in early January looking at 98 Maximas and I30s, but the prices were insane! So we ended up buying at an auction. 98 I30 for $16,200 with 24K on it (but who knows if it is original milage...) Yeah, a bit too much as well, but the dealers were asking close to 19 for those kind of cars...
