I can't get Don Cooper Jr. ( mobiletek.net ) to respond to my e-mail requests ( I used the address he originally requested ) for a refund on a valve body mod that I PRE-PAID for more than 3 months ago! I have sent more than 15 requests to his e-mail and through his website ( last sent 6/25/02 ) addresses and NO repsonse.

I understand delays but I have decided that I do not wish to wait any longer. Again I have made EVERY attempt to not have to do this here and I HOPE that you all understand my fustrations as I have requested my money back many times in the last 4 weeks with little ("this is the first time I got this" with no action taken) to NO response. I only request a refund and it can be applied to my paypal account, I don't care how I get it I just want it and want it NOW!

Any suggestions?

Thx -- SS

YES
This is the address I have used from day 1 and he said (in a response that was no more than a blow off) that he had not received anything) nothing more than "this is the first I have heard from you in quite awhile". Should he not be contacting me? Am I not the customer? I have made a refund request at EVERY e-mail address including the one you gave!

Thx -- SS

Why would this be locked?

This is a good thread, especially since I am sure he is not the only person with this problem.. I remember a few months ago people were saying they have waited over 8 months for the VB with no idea what is going on. Not knocking on Don in any way.. just think people need to be notified or warned ahead of time about such lengthy delays or lack of any communication. This is why I'm skeptical and probably rather pony up more $ and get the Level 10 Valve body.

I have also been trying to contact Don about actualy recieving my vb mod. I paid last Sept. and recieved an email form him sometime in april saying i would recieve it the following week, and it never came. I think I have been the patient customer but a years time is a little excessive.

If I could
reach him in any other way I would have tried that. No other info is available through his web site, just e-mail addresses.
I am not knocking his product or bashing him, but in a service business communication is very important. I have been in the automotive service industry for more that 1/2 my life and would not have made it this far if this is how I handled my customers. His service skills leave much to be desired regardless of how busy you are the customer needs to be communicated with! I just ask for money refunded on a product that I have not yet recieved yet and very well may not!

I just tried again ... we'll see
I sent this to him at dgcoop@houston.rr.com. This is one of many that have been sent in recent days, weeks and months!

Once again I am contacting (at the requested address) you in regards to a refund of $450.00 that I have previously sent to you in the form of a cashiers check. This is a copy of previously (one of MANY) sent e-mail requesting a refund!

I thought I sent you a message. Yes, I received it, its still here
somewhere. I'm waiting on gaskets for the 5th Gen, which is why its
taking so long. I have a few other guys waiting too, but you are one of
the first when I get it all together. When its ready, how much time do
you need to do the swap?

Subject: VB status

Don,
I had sent a money order for a VB mod on 4/8/02 and have not received a
confirmation saying that you have received it or a update on my order
status. A e-mail dated 4/5/02 stated that you were awaiting a core
setup for the 5th gen trans and that it would be about 2 weeks at that
time. Could I please get a update on the status at this time?

Thank You -- Scott Siperko

I want my $450.00 back NOW!!!!! As I have stated in MANY previously sent e-mail messages that you can send it to my paypal account which is under the name of ssiperko. I demand prompt action and a response as this has gone on WAAAAAAAAY to long! Please make any comments here > http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=132495 if you wish.
Thank You -- Scott Siperko

I noticed you didn't update yet. Have you not gotten your refund?

I hope he doesn't do this to me, as I have just been promised my refund as well.

Good luck guys; I sold my spot in line for the VB mod, and the .org member who bought it ended up having severe issues reaching don as well; he just didn't reply to any emails for weeks..

I'm sort of having problems believing this : he had such a great reputation with everybody, yet one day something went downhill and threads such as these have begun (I think I was involved in one of the first ones myself).

My question : does he actually own a shop or does he do this stuff in his garage when he has the extra time?

Whatever problems he has are not of my concern! I am not willing to wait any longer for this mod (if I wanted to then they would be my problems too) and I WANT MY $450.00 BACK THE SAME WAY I SENT IT >>>>>> CASHIERS CHECK!!!! I get a response on average 1 time every 30 days (if!) and I'm done with it! I sent a request for help to the Houston BBB, maybe that'll get me a positive result.

I can understand that someone is busy and it might take a day or two to answer e-mails, but a month? That's a little ridiculous if you ask me. Although, I have heard that it is better to call Don and speak to him directly. However, I've read that his phone number isn't posted anywhere on his site.

Anyways, I've decided not to buy a VB from Don, because I'm reading more and more of these posts. I'm becoming more skeptical each time I read one.

I understand that Don can get busy, but if I were in his shoes running a big business, I would see to it that all of the e-mails were replied to (maybe not by Don himself, but by someone else saying that he's busy and he will respond to the e-mail ASAP and maybe give a number to contact him at).

Plus, I'd rather just get a 5-speed Maxima anyway!

Later, and Good Luck,
-Nick

If you email through the email listed on his site, you get a standard automated reply stating that someone from Mobiletek will contact you within 48 hours. It is going on about 3900 hours since I last emailed him and I still haven't gotten a response. Didn't get a response to the 9 previous emails I sent him either. No big deal though, at least it wasn't about a refund or something, then I would be upset.

Unforunately this (from my own experiance) is extremely normal I am sorry to say. I once sent over 70 e-mails before 1 reply was sent. And I am still waiting form my $450.00 refund.
