Meguires NXT Gen. stuff

I just finished using the new line of Meguires NXT products and was very satisfied with all. I went from NXT wash, Meguires Clay Kit, to Meguires 27? Polish, and NXT liquid wax. Also used NXT tire shine, window cleaner, which were prettyu good as well. The 4 steps from wash to wax took about 4 hrs, crazy enough, but it was the easiest application ever, all done by hand by the way. Anyways I reconmend you guys to try thier stuff, I stayed with using all Meguiers to keep thier "ingredients" consistent, and it proved to be a wise choice as my car looked better than the day I bought it sad to say, haha. Recomendation: get the stuff!!

I really like Zaino, and I use it on my supra...But for a daily driver or something that I don't want to spend a lot of money on, the NXT works great, although it doesn't last as long as the zaino.

Turtle wax Extreme is what I've used for a long time, works fairly well, however I find that it doesn't last very long. It goes on easily, dries quickly, and comes off relatively easy, however it does flake quite a bit when buffing, which can be a pain some times.

Meguiars gold class wax appears to be a good product, goes on smoothly, seems a little sticky, but the darn thing takes FOREVER to dry. And no, I didn't apply a thick layer, as much as the turtle wax. Even after it dries, it's still somewhat sticky, and when buffing, it takes longer than the Turtle wax. The good thing about it is, it doesn't flake nearly as much, hardly noticeable.

Washing the car + 2 layers of wax took the whole day, and then some, all done by hand of course. Pple who put 3 layers or more, how do you do it? Not in one day right?

I ran out of NXT wax the other day and used a bottle of Gold Class I had that's been on the shelf for some time. I don't remember the Gold Class working so well and being so easy to remove. Looking back, I think it's better than the NXT, so I'm switching back to Gold Class.

LOL I thought about getting some NXT the other day, however I couldn't justify the price difference, so I went w/ Gold Class. It's got a new label than what I had at home, and the new stuff seems easier to buff off than the old. Go figure. Anyhow, I love the new stuff.

Can any one tell if there's a difference between the NXT stuff and the Gold Class?

I really like the Gold Class too. I used it on my Majestic Blue '04 a couple of weeks ago and it went on and came off easily and looks great. When I run out of it I will probably try the NXT or whatever other new Meguiars stuff is out at the time.

Excellent products! Menzerna IP and FPII are my go to polishes. It dusts a fair amount but it finishes down so well I like it over the SSR series from Poorboys and Optimum I seem to reach for the Menzerna time and time again. Go for it!

Meguiars Tech was is by far the easiest to use. I use it on my Max and my 66 Pontiac. The results are a deep shine.

Ftw!

I only use blackfire. Zaino and blackfire have been going head to head for years. I tried them both but, I prefer blackfire because you get more, and the ease of use. Get the Gloss Enhancing Polish and the Protectant. I have like 15 coats of the protectant on my paint and wheels. You can then top it off for a even GREATER shine with one your favorite carnauba wax.

Everyone that has seen my car knows the shine.

Natty's Blue is some good stuff, you should most certainly give it a try. Good depth and liquidity. Like Bonka, I think it smells real good too. Reminds me of Hubba Bubba bubblegum from back in the day.

all of the above are great. I'm using NXT right now due to ease of use. I can get a single coat applied and removed in less than 2 hours. I've even managed to do a complete job in 45 minutes. It has very little dust and doesn't take much elbow grease to put on or take off. I've quit using an orbital polisher. It lasts a few months as well. With 2 good coats I can go 6 months.

This is a REALLy good website. They do sell a few of their own products which I am not biased to. But it does give a good review on other waxes. Bottom line, there are two type of "waxes" carnuba and sealants. comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges. Sealants last a lot longer but only give about 95% of the shine as carnuba waxes.

I personally like meguiars tech wax which is technically a sealant. wow does it work and last!

I have also tried nu finish. that lasts a long time and shines very well. My fav is the tech wax sealant and then nu finish.

Meguiar's NXT works amazing, but on black, it is #16 or #26 for me! They leave the paint SO wet, and #16 is so durable, it almost isn't funny concidering how old it is!

I will say this: It doesn't matter what wax you use if the surface isn't properly preped. Prepping the surface is everything.

NXT is a synthetic pure wax. While some that it has cleaners, I have to disagree due to the fact that it does layer. If it had cleaners, this would not be possible, so I say that it has fillers to cover up those swirls. NXT is known as Meguiar's best protecting wax (not longest lasting, just best protection) and easiest to use in the liquid form. It is one of the very few synthetic waxes out there that are actually able to give a wet look like many carnuba based counterparts. NXT works best on a prepared surface that has already been polished and cleaned.

Gold Class wax is a polish/wax that serves a distinct purpose. Polishes help fill in pours in the paint to give it a deep rich gloss. The purpose of Gold Class is if the paint has been properly maintained and just needs some polish to refresh the paint, it will provide a rich deep look with ease due to the polishes in it instead of polishing then waxing.

Cleaner wax is for surfaces that have not been maintained at all or are a daily beater. It will remove minor surface imperfections and provide massive beading action as demand by the consumer. Great as a cheap effective wax for the DD.

DC#3 is a carnuba pure wax that works wonders. Despite being so cheap, it produces breath taking results on a prepared surface. Fairly durable and great sheeting and beading action.

#26 is a premium version of DC#3 essentially. Just enhanced everything and will give the best carnuba look you could ask for, though some prefer the crayon flavor of #16.

#21 is a premium synthetic much like NXT. Again, there is a debate on whether it has cleaners in it or not, but that debate is up to you.

So really, it comes down to the prep of the paint before the wax and what your aiming for that bases what type of wax you will use. I keep NXT paste, Cleaner Wax Paste, and DC#3/#26 in my arsenal because each person has a different need.
