I'm a newbie so this is probably a stupid question, but i need help cleaning my headlights. I drive a 98se and i dont know how to remove my headlight housing. Anyone have any simple how-to? Once i do remove the headlights, what should i use to clean the lens. my leftside has a kinda yellow haze to it. Please help....

Try a plastic polish. I personally use Novus plastic polish (#2) for minor discoloration and swirls. For deeper pitting and scratching, you can use their #3 Heavy polish, then follow with #2. I just did my headlights last night with Novus #2, and they are perfectly crystal clear with no swirls or scratches. I follow up with a pure synthetic wax (NO carnauba here because it yellows with age and heat) for the UV protection and to make cleaning easier (bugs almost slide off).
I've also heard good reviews about Plexus, but have never tried it. You can search the net for Novus to find it. I can get it locally at a place called Regal Plastics.
You don't need to remove the headlight to polish the outside.

I wax mine every wash, and they end up looking better than when they were new.

Why do you need to remove the housing? Leave the light where it is and just use some polish which gets rid of most of the small scratches and nasty colour. There is absolutly no need to remove the light from the housing......unless there is something inside the light, but most if not all of the dirt is on the outside of the light. Plus if you actually do remove the light and end up taking it apart you have to make sure no dust gets near the bulbs and make sure you don't touch the bulb itself with your fingers, cause they leave grease deposits on the light. Best of luck!

No need to take out your headlight. Use a plastic polish or just straight wax. Rub either one onto the headlight hard and then buff it off.
