Oxyclean

Has anyone used oxyclean to clean their interior. I bought this car from a guy that had kids and I have stains on my back seats and I cant seem to get them out I have been trying to get these stains out I scrubed and soaked up the excess moisture with towels the towels were covered in red from soaking but there was still more showing on the seat. I know this stuff works on tough home carpet stains but will it work on my seats.

Yes. It worked on mine. I used it on the seats and ceiling.

You can rent a steam cleaner from places like Wal Mart if you don't have one. That way you can suck the stains out, instead of blotting. The problem with blotting is if they are deep stains, they will seem to "reappear" after drying due to wicking. It is always best to remove the entire stain, so wicking can't occur.
If they are just surface stains, "Tuff Stuff" has worked good for me. It's sold at Wal Mart, Auto Zone, etc... Spray the foam on, agitate, let soak, and blot the surface stain up. Works as advertised.
Here's a link with some info (and stain chart) that may help you out: http://www.autopia.ws/articles.php?articleId=6 It is very important to use the right cleaner for the type of stain, or you'll just smear it around.
There was also a site that explained about the 3 types of stains (organic, inorganic, and petroleum based) and how to get them out. I can't find the link to it right now.

Hope this helps.

I haven't used Oxyclean myself, but I have heard that it does work on certain types of stains. As with any product, try it on an invisible area first to make sure it doesn't take the color out. I have heard that the chemical formula of Oxyclean works really really well to break up stains made by specific types of chemicals, so it would largely depend on what the stains were whether Oxyclean is a miracle or doesn't do anything.
