Sunroof Visor Scratches...

I recently removed my sunroof visor. I was curious as to what the car what look like with out it. I like the way it looks (for now b/c it's something different from what I'm used to). Only problem is the previous owner had one of the brackets holding it down loose, so the top is scratched in the shape of the visor. How can I remove these scratches, or at least cover them up? Product suggestions please! All input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

First thign you may want to do is check the scratches to see if they are too deep to be buffed out. To do that, you can run your fingernail across the scratch. If your nail gets caught in the scratch, it is too deep to be buffed out and professional help is required.

If not, you can use Meguiar's Scratch-X and/or certain rubbing compounds to remove the scratches. Once you use the compound, you then follow up with a swirl mark remover, then polish, then wax.

I can't picture it now, but if I remember right the scratches from my wind deflector were WAY too severe to buff out. You can try scratchx or something, but I doubt it will yield acceptable results.
