scratches!
Would not recommend that way of dealing with it. You'll need something abrasive to get rid of scratches. If you're doing it by hand, try various compounds by 3m, meg's or menzerna until you get them out. ScratchX is also pretty good, but remember it has fillers, so sometimes it may just hide the scratches. After that, polish that baby up and wax that ***.
