i just used the hot foam cleaner at the local car wash. it comes out of this brush and i work the foam into the stain, and use their vaccuum to clean up the mess. takes care of most mild stains on the carpet and my cloth seats.

If you mean that the leather has sticky spots from the hairspray (you better hope that it's hairspray ), then try Lexol cleaner and then conditioner.

If it's on the dash, simple green or something similar followed by a good low-gloss protectant would probably work fine.

If there are stains on the carpet, the simple green will probably work for that as well. YMMV.

Yow, wouldn't recommend using Simple Green on any interior pieces. Wd-40 if on the dash, Lexol cleaner if on the leather.

I've done it before to remove scuffs, etc. on door panels with absolutely no problems. No discoloration, etc. The stuff is pretty mild, especially of you dilute it as per the directions on the back of the bottle. Just my experience.

Of course, follow it with a good protectant (Maguires, etc.)

I suppose if it's diluted it might be safe, but I've heard quite a few stories about discoloration caused by simple green. The stuff is strong enough to remove just about anything...including dyes in plastic if you're not careful!

I've used WD-40 to remove scuffs, crayon, all kinds of marks on interior plastics. Always had great luck. Only recently did I notice WD-40 actually touts its cleaning and scuff removing ability on the can! Read all the uses. I'm now considering using it as a shaving cream or cooking spray!
