1 step wax?

OK, I'll get flamed in this forum for asking this question....

The deal is I want to wax my car to protect and keep it looking nice. I've read threads in here talking about 4-5 step wax removal, clay bars and applications...

Problem is, I have no time, but want to wax.

If I was going to simply wash, dry and wax, which one step wax would folks on here recommend?

if you really don't care, then just go get yourself some good car wash shampoo and wax.

I would recommend grabbing some Meguiars Gold Class shampoo + Zymol wax... they're relatively cheap and will get the job done well.

A cleaner wax (most retail waxes are cleaner waxes anyway) from Mothers or Meguiar's would do. A lot of people seem to like Meguiar's Gold Class wax, but it doesn't seem to last all that long. Mothers also makes a synthetic wax called Reflections that has gotten good reviews in the past. If you want to jump on any bandwagons you could also try Meguiar's new NXT wax, although I'm not sure it would have enough cleaning ability... You could also check out the new offerings from Turtle Wax (Ultra Shine) and Eagle One too (Nano wax or something).

All in all, the quality of the average retail wax seems to be improving lately, although some of them have different priorities and some will last longer than others. In general paste waxes seem to last longer if you have a choice between paste and liquid.
