had to repaint tghe front of my hood i had to use the paint you get at pepboys (spray can) how do i blend it with the rest of the hoood +? do i need to clearcoat it ? buff it polish it ? i already used polish compound and a coat of meguiars wax, there is no clear coat is that what gives you that mirror look like the rest of the car ?? it was only about a foot from the front of the hood back but that dull black looks not as nice as the rest of the cars mirriored black...any ideas ?? reason was i took the bra off and the paint was ruined underneeth it....

 

You probably could have buffed out the paint that was under the bra. What happens over time is the bra moves around and causes tiny abrasions in the clearcoat. Usually you can work them out with a power buffer if they aren't deep. If you don't have one take it to a body shop and have them work them out. Now that you sprayed it though you ruined it.

 

but how do i get the paint to shine ?????
