Going on vacation for a week a couple days, my car is outside, any way to protect it?

The forecast for when I'm gone is mostly rain, so I wanna keep it protected while I'm gone because my car sits outside. I can't afford a car cover at the moment so that's out of the question. Would a simple waxing be sufficent or is there anything else I can use?

Short of putting it under cover or buying a car cover, it sounds like you don't have a lot of options. A good coat of wax would certainly help protect it. BTW, I picked up a fairly nice Nissan car cover at the dealer for $100 (less 10% discount) that I use once in a while. Good luck.
