What do you guys do? when you get the slight dust build up? anyone use that quik detailers stuff? I have not had much luck with it, it seems to smear and leave swirl marks. I want to hear your tips.

Use a California duster first, then the detail spray.

I used to use the California car duster a while ago, it worked great at first, then it started streaking and leaving greasy streaks. So I bough another one and the same thing. Unfortunately, I am starting to think that the only way to get rid of the dust is to rinse it with water, this makes sure there are no streaks or swirl marks. It is just a pain to wipe it down and deal with the water coming out of the door handles and mirrors when you drive away.

The 'greasy' stuff is the parafin wax in the duster.

I had the same thing happen to me. Wrap the duster in newspaper for 24 hours. It will absorb some of the wax. Repeat this till you dont get the streaks.
Also use very light pressure with the duster. I just barely touch the car with the duster.
