Wet Sander

Is it possible to rent a Wet Sander for a day? Also, what is/are the best Wet Sander(s) out there? Reason, is because I have painted pinstripes on my car and my friend's cousin used to work at a shop, but quit so he doesn't have access to the van full of tools anymore. He said if I could get him one, he'd be able to get the pinstriping off for me. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I never really heard of a wet-sander.

Yet you can wet sand by using a very fine, not abrasive sand paper while using water spray on the area. Don't do this yourself, let a body shop handle it so you dont mess up your paint.

Yeah, I was prolly mistaken, but in meaning "wet sand" do you do it by hand or use a machine like an orbital sander or something of some sort along with the water spray? I would never do it my self by the way. LoL, I wish I could though.

I suppose you could use a machine, but i think they do it by hand.

I defer to the experts, not sure.

To be honest, I'm not sure how you should go about removing actual painted-on stripes.... most people have the vinyl kind.

It's not just cheapo lacquer paint is it?
