water spots

water spots

I just noticed that my MAX has what looks like water spots on the hood that refuse to come off. Im not much of a detailer, but the spots are noticable. Any suggestions? I'm afraid that I may damage my clear coat if I try some harsh chemicals.

Also, I have a couple of small scratches here and there, is there a product that can remove them\make the scratches less noticable? Thank you in advance!

Try vinegar on the spots first if they seem like dried up minerals from hard tap water. If they don't come off or the spots seem like they are actually in the paint, then they could be water spot damage most likely from acid rain or dirty rain water allowed to dry and bake on the paint too long. If that's the case, they will have to be polished out.

Try scratch remover on the scratches and on the spots if you have to resort to that.

use clay bar on the water spots. worked for me
