Keeping cats off.

Ok...so i have random dings on my hood that come outta no where. The other night i step outside to see this lardass cat sitting on the roof of my car. I mean this thing could put garfield to shame. (no lies) so it scatters off. today i had paw prints all over the hood and fine scratches all over where the paw prints were from the claws. I've already hosed this cat down w/water once, but if i see it again and have the chance I will have to pull an Adam Vinatieri and boot his *** as far as it can fly.

Anyways to the point. what can i do to keep this piece of sh*t away from my car. It seems that it only likes the cleanest car in the neighborhood which is mine. I'm going to speak to the owner of the cat (not that it matters) but might as well. What should i do to keep this fu*king thing away. Some people said to try moth *****, someone else said put pepper on my car(jokingly) i seriously am going to boot this thing if i can. Everyone around here sees how much time I put into keeping my car spotless and it irritates me to no end when i see some fat piece of **** cat sitting on it just rubbing it in my face
dont mind my rambling

I have the same problem. I live in an apartment complex and people (my mother included) keep feeding the cats. Countless times I've gone out and seen cats near/under/on my car. I have a bunch of scratches on my hood because of it.
I told my mother I'm going to give her the bill for my new paint job I need!

wash someone elses car for them free of charge everytime you wash yours and make their car cleaner than yours. if that doesnt work, smudge cat food all over someone elses car to draw attention away from your car.

I just joined this board and I'm having a good time reading through all the threads, then THIS thread caught my eye and I have to respond..haha.
I have the same problem, I like keeping all my cars spotless. The cat in question is OURS and I've told my wife time and time again, "If I catch that cat on my car ONE more time...he's outta here. Well, night before last I spent sometime detailing the Max and about midnight I go outside to have a smoke and low and behold there the freakin' cat is right on top, dirty paws and all.
Long story short........we are now short one (1) cat. He vanished when the wife and kids were asleep. No, I didn't kill him.....but he did somehow end up about 4 miles down the road in someone elses neighborhood. I feel a little guilty, but it's better than getting so mad that I actually end up putting a cap in his butt!!!!

Ok, I'm done and off my Soap Box.

there is a product called Repel ****** or something like that. You can get it from Home depot or your local hardware store. Its mostly for squirrels but I guess you can use it for cats. Try it and let me know.

flush your radiator, and leave a little bit of "sweet green tea" in kitty's water bowl.

WTF is it with cats that like to sleep on cars anyway? the neighbor's cats sleep on mine all the time, but my car is so ugly I don't care.

Best thing I can tell you is to use the animal repellents you can pick up at the pet store or whatever... they have many different kinds, from stuff you just pour into a potted plant and leave near the driveway, to stuff you spray on the area, etc...
