Any ladies into detailing on the ORG.?

I was just curious to see if there were any ladies in here that were into detailing as much as the guys are in here?

If so, ladies, speak up and tell us where your from and what you like doing the best about when detailing your ride.

PS. I have never met a lady who liked to detail her ride, so I am so curious to find some.

Maybe they are outside washing their cars.

LOL! You could be right, but I still would like to hear from them.

There has got to be some girls into detailing, there just has to be!

LOL i have a wife and believe me, I do not need a girlfriend as well. ONE lady is enough. You know we always get in trouble when we have more than one, and even then, we are screwed! lol

Chicks are busy detailing the house and themselves. They're happy enough with a vaccum and a toilet brush, they don't need to go outside to clean the car.

hahha, the last thing i would imagine seeing is a chick detailing a car..... they detail themselves all day long, and if they wanted a detailed car, they just rather pay the local car wash.....

Truth be told, I know quite a few women that are into detailing including one who has won trophies. However, they are not on here. I do recall one several years ago but I haven't heard from her in a while.

Okay, I'll bite. And I take offense to some of the remarks on here, we're not all high maintenance you know, some of us are too busy shining our Max's!

I wash with Meguire's Gold Class at least once a week. When I wash I use two seperate washing mits, one for the body and one for the undersides and I don't wash the undersides until after I've washed the body, so I don't transfer any dirt and grit into the water. I only dry with the Absorber and follow up with a microfiber towel for a lint free finish. Sometimes I use an instant spray wax while I'm drying (I use Eagle One, works great by the way). Every couple of washes I will go thru the Meguires step process of wash, polish, wax and glaze #7. I used to wax with the Gold Class but just recently switched to the NXT. In between washes I use a California duster and an instant detailer spray to keep my Max nice and shiney. Just got the NXT Booster wax but haven't really had a chance to use it, just tested it on a small area but I liked the results. Oh and I clay barred my Max right I after I brought "him" home.

So there you have it. Maxzma is a woman, surprise surprise. I take better care of my car then my husband takes care of his. In fact, I have taught him a few things. Oh and by the way, I'm one mean mother with a toilet brush!

Edited to add that I never ever go to any drive thru car washes. Those things just transfer dirt and scratches (the cloth ones) from one car to another and I've never seen a car that left one of those places that didn't need to be touched up. Just a waste of time and money. The touch free ones just don't do a good enough job either and strips your wax.

WHOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE YOU GO GUYS!!!!

MAXZMA, I bow down to you. Thank you for speaking up. Sounds like you are hard core when it comes to detailing. Your husband is a very very lucky man!

I 100% second the motion about NEVER USING AUTOMATIC CAR WASHES. I don't care if it is brushless or not. Using one is a SIN!

Anyway, Maxzma, I really do appreciate you posting and giving your input. It is great to have you here and I hope you will share more detailing tips with us soon.

PS. Notice I did not say anything mean or negative about the ladies on here. Have a great day!

Thank you very much for the welcome. Actually, unlike some women I love to detail my car. There's nothing better than a shiney Max and dirt drives me crazy. My husband is always bugging me to detail his F150, and every now and then I will give in. We usually work on it as a team to get it done quicker. It is black and the scratches are a nightmare. It's a SuperCrew and is a beast to wax. I have to get the ladder out just to reach the hood.

Just teasing about being offended. All is cool. Hope I can contribute when I can, I'm sure I'm not doing anything special than anyone else on here. I check in here to pick up some tips myself and have learned a lot.

Man, those F150's are huge. And to have it black is a nightmare. My I30 is black and I swear my wife is going to leave me because I spend so much time waxing and polishing and washing that thing. lol I hope she does not leave me

Well I for one LOVE to see the ladies on here and think it is soo cool to see ladies that are as into detailing as I am. Not that there is any difference between the ladies and the guys when it comes to it, but I just don't find too many that are into their cars and more importantly, their cars being clean and waxed! How cool is that!

Well gotta run for now, but it is very nice to meet you and please stay in touch. have a great night!

I don't spend as much time as that woman up there does (by the way, that's verry impressive), but I like a clean car!! and I wash mine 1-2 times a week, and polish my wheels once a week.

Oh yeah, I know one of the Old School Orgers that is into it as well.

maxzma: That's cool. Personally, I'd like to get my better half involved when detailing.
If you think a F150 is bad, try detailing one of these:
