Help with damaged paint

Somehow I damaged my paint. I think I might have accidentally left bug and tar remover on my car while it baked out in the sun. Take a look at this picture of my grill. Is there anything I can do to remove the darker spots. Don't tell me to get an aftermarket grill.

Thanks.

What have you tried to fix it?

Does waxing help? Try that first rubbing it in a bit. If you have any polishes/pre-wax cleaners or other products handy, that would help too.

I tried waxing, polishing. Nothing really seems to help.

Polishing with what? Try a scratch remover and see if that knocks down the damaged paint.

I've tried Meguiar's Paint Cleaner, Polish, Wax and scratch remover.

Did you work it in with "firm" pressure, and how many times did you try it? Sometimes taking out damaged paint takes some effort. If it doesn't look like Scratch-X is making ANY kind of difference after a few thorough uses, you might be looking at a repaint...
