i just washed my car and wow... the brake dust will not come off of my tires (AE rims). so i need some suggestions on some wheel cleaners. i'm looking for OTC stuff that i can just drive to PEPboys and get. any help would be appreciated. thx in advance!

I don't know what you've already tried, but try Eagle One A2Z (very effective) with a soft brush or even sponge. Make sure you do not use it on hot wheels or let it dry out on the wheel. If that does not work, try a paint pre-cleaner or scratch remover. Detailing clay may work too, but no better than polish I believe. If polishing doesn't seem to be making progress and/or if there is deep pitting you may be out of luck.... Keeping wheels clean is fairly important. Good luck!

A small plastic bristled detailing brush works well. Just a bit stiffer than a toothbrush. Just for the corners. Also getting a specific wheel brush to scrub the rims is a good investment of $5.
