emblem removal

are there any tricks to removing the Maxima and GLE emblems from the trunk lid? are they just attached by double-sided tape, or there are any aligning holes in the trunk? anything that will make the removal easier and leave the least residue?

thanks

The words: Maxima, GLE, SE, and GXE have no holes and can be removed with heat......The "Burger" on the trunk has holes, so I am told, and will leave visible holes.

I used heat, fishing line, and WD-40 to remove mine. Then put on a nice coat of wax after claying.

Good luck, and I know you will like it.

the holes ARE NOT visible if you fill them in and paint over them

No generated heat, if that's what you're asking... but it was probably like 80-90 degs out when I did it.... so its not like I did it on a cold winter day.... I do think that you need a certain degree of warmth for the stuff to give when you're "flossing" it...

Removing the hamburger one on the trunk lid looks kind of wierd because of the empty space it leaves. That little "dip" where the emblem is shaped above the license plate, stands out more.

Yeah I guess that'll work too... I just found it easier doing it when it was warm out.... glue was slightly "softer"...

Talk about timing. I just took off my trunk lid Maxima and Nissan Emblems tonight. I replaced the Nissan emblem (thereby covering the two holes) with the Maxima emblem from Custom Enterprise, it looks very unique and cool!!
I left the SE emblem on for now. I also took off the front Nissan emblem and put another Maxima emblem up front. Much nicer looking than that generic Nissan emblem!!They are all attached by nothing else but double sided tape. I used dental floss and a little heat, and everything came right off, no problem.
