Moulding PROBLEMS

About a year and a half ago I got polish all over the moulding around the rear windshild. The entire strip of moulding has pretty much turned a whitish/gray color. I have tried Meguirer's - Back to Black, aswell as peanut butter, both worked great for about a week, untill it rained. Is there anything I can do to darken up this windsheild molding???

Try a small scrubbrush and rubbing alcool to remove all of the old residue and then apply a protectant.

Good luck with it.

Cool, I tried this with the alcohol. Looks great, I'll see how it turns out after the winter weather hits it.

Is there any way to get the molding really black? If you clean it with alcohol and then apply a protectant, that probably won't restore it to its pre-sun-faded state, although it would look better. Maybe sanding a little would work, since you would remove the topmost faded layer.

Has anyone replaced their entire exterior molding with brand new Nissan molding? I assume it's a pretty easy job, but probably not cheap.
