Reading the tips here, I now use Stoner's Invisible Glass and a MF Towel with a weave "designated" for glass. See

http://www.waynestowels.com

The combo works great. Others swear by the use of newspaper.

Any lint free towel/cloth with a good glass cleaner will do the trick. Windex is horrible in my opinion, and Stoner's Invisible Glass is one of the best off the shelf glass cleaners I've used (tip: foaming glass cleaners, for most people, are easier when it comes to removing streaks).

Best thing to do is to have TWO lint free/microfiber cloths folded neatly, one for wet and one for dry. Liberally spray down the window with glass cleaner and clean with one rag, and then take the "dry" one and buff off. It is important to buff/dry really well as this is how you prevent streaks. Just take your time and go over everything really well. Many people who have trouble with streaks try using a circular motion to dry the window.

Another tip is not to clean windows in the sun.

I use Sonus Vision glass cleaner with 2 MFs. I've never had any streaking with it, and it's safe on tint too.

I get my high-quality microfiber products from ExcelDetail.com.

For glass cleaning and interior detailing, I use microfiber cloths from WalMart. I think they're $5.67 for 5 cloths.

streakers will always exist, there's just something about running around naked in front of a large number of people...

I have seen microfiber towels at Advance Auto Parts and other auto parts stores. Matter of fact, I have seen them at Walmart too.

An old glass cleaning tip....wipe off the cleaner in an up and down motion on one side of the glass, and a side to side motion on the other. That way if there are streaks you know what side of the window they are on.
