I have a black 96 se and when the car is clean and washed it looks amazing. But when u get close to it you notice a lot of scratches such as one on my fender from a shopping cart, under the doorhandles and other scrathes. Waxing them out didnt do it and i tried using 3M fine rubbing compound and that didnt do it either. Any suggestions on how i can remove these scrathes that are making me go insane! thanx

 

It likely needs to be machine polished. Either look into a porter cable random orbital polisher or take it to a professional.
