Soon, I will be able to break out the porter cable for the first time and really give maxine a little TLC. But until the weather gets warm I am going to try to work on the interior. Now, Maxine is practicaly mint inside except for the seatbelts. When I was putting some damplifer (great stuff) I kinda got some of the sticky black crap from under the seats onto the seatbelts. I tried so,e orange miracle, it helped some, but I still that black hue in the area as well as some other traces of regular dirt. I had scrubbed an area with a toothbrush, but it wound up making the fibers fuzzy, so I want to try solve this problem without any further fuzz. My beloved Magic ereaser doesnt seem to affect the fibers of the belt. Sugesstions?

 

Spot Test a little area with goof off. That stuff works miracles just make sure to test it in a small area first.. you should have no probelms though.. ive used it on allot of things. Careful though it can remove paint etc.

Resolve spot magic and elbow grease, that crap works wonders I tell ya

 

You shouldnt use any kind of harsh degreaser on the seatbelts. If you damage the fibers in any way, the strength of the belt is compromised.

Only warm soapy water should be used on seatbelts.
