Just waxed the car.

I washed, claybared, vinegar bath, polished, and then waxed my car the other day. It rained and I just washed it and took some pictures. Products: Claymagic, walmart white vinegar, meguires #82 polish, and meguires nxt wax. I used a walmart buffer to apply the polish, didn't get rid of swirl marks, I probably need a porter cable buffer for that or a more abrasive polish. I need to put another coat of wax on also. On the trunk you can see where I let the water marks sit for a long time, stupid I know; it looks the same on the roof and the hood. More pictures are available here

Tell me what yall think; goor or bad.

Why did you "vinegar bath" instead of just washing the car again?

Pretty good. But I agree you'd definitely need a PC and a stronger polish. If I were in your situation, I would use something like DACP and then go down to a lighter polish like Klasse AIO.

rsly33: I did the vinegar bath because I heard it got rid of water spots. I clayed the car 5 days before I polished and waxed it.

expressinme and JaMdMax97: On the trunk those are permanant marks. The water spots ate through part of the clear coat. The marks are also on the roof and the hood. It is only noticable if you look up close.

PrinzII: I didn't think about DACP. I might try that next time. About how thick is the clear coat on our cars, because I don't want to burn it all away with the PC, if I get one.

Thanks for the comments.
