This is if your leather is cracking or in terrible condition. My driver seat all of a sudden started cracking. I guess I will do some of the restore work on the other seats soon but I will only do that whole process to my driver seat.

Seat covers or replacement seats would almost be easier though.

my passenger seat is hard, most likely from sitting in a junkyard and being exposed. (or various reasons from the previous owner of the seats) i've been wanting to get the leatherique stuff but iirc, it was pretty expensive. maybe when i have the time and money to use on my seats, i'll pick that stuff up and follow the directions. i've heard it does great things and would love to do it on mine, just can't justify the money on that stuff at this time.

Those sites are published by the company. Of course they want you to buy ALL their friggin products.

I used to be good at leather restoration using plain vinyl filler and putty that you find in the auto stores. What I found is that when the rest of the leather aged, the vinyl still stayed hard.

I just bought a 95 Honda Accord EX for 500 bucks because i'm tired of putting obscene amounts of miles on my I30. The leather in that car has holes in it. I was just looking to see if I can do something to fill those holes in and maybe sell the car for say... 2000 (its worth 3300 but has 200k miles). And buy a beater maxima instead.

From what I gather, you dont have to follow all the rules. Make sure the area is clean (mineral spirits). Use the filler in steps until you have a repair SLIGHTLY above the surrounding leather. Wet sand the area. And dye it.

The most important and best quality materials should be the filler and the dye. Vinyl dye works with leather too.
