Incredibly sticky sticker

I know there is another thread on removing stickers, but this is different. I have a parking sticker on my rear bumper that seems impossible to remove. It is not the paper kind like bumper stickers are. It is that highly reflective, super stretchable kind of sticker. I haven't tried heating it, but using my fingernails removes no more than a mm (not kidding!) of it. What do you guys think?

You will need to heat it. Even a hairdryer will work if you can't get your hands on a heatgun.

I use goop off, it works really good, smells like paint thinner, but works better and doesnt strip paint.

Use either goo gone or 3M adhesive remover. Works wonders.

Thanks much guys! I will definitely try the two products mentioned. But my problem is that as it is a plastic-based sticker, I can't even lift an edge to spray the stuff in and let it detach the rest of it. Perhaps heating would help, as suggested by one of you.

Those products are all to get the goo off once the sticker is removed. They also make this eraser wheel thing that might work, but try heat first and if that doesn't work then come back and I'll try to better explain the eraser wheel.

I've always had good luck removing heavey sticker residue from windows by freezing it with an ice cube to make it more solid and easier to peel off. Kind of like how you freeze gum on the sidewalk to make it easier to remove.

What do you do with it once you get it off the sidewalk?!

Give me your mailing address and I'll save it for you. Do you want gritty or extra gritty?

Yeah, that's what I meant too. They won't help remove the sticker. I tried the blow dryer; didn't even budge the sticker. So yeah, as you were saying, the eraser wheel.....

really...I'm surprised by that. The sticker was pretty warm right?

I've used the eraser wheel on tough pinstripes, but never a sticker...should work though. It looks like this:

I don't know where you'd get it or even if sticker removal is even it's intended purpose. You'll need a drill of some sort...probably just about any type, be VERY careful if it's a fast one though. Just make sure to keep it moving as I'm sure it could burn paint. start at an edge and see if you can get it to peel the sticker (might not be a bad idea to get the sticker warm first). The eraser will leave residue which is why I prefer to just peel things off. I use mothers prewax cleaner to remove this, but you might even be able to just wash it off.

Try spraying on the goo gone and letting it sit. Sometimes the sticker will absorb it and come off easier later.
