Best way to take off dash trim

Just want to know what is the best way to take off the sticky aluminum interior dash trim. The one on my car is ugly and when taking off you know it has the double sided tape and its VERY sticky. So how to take it off easily and without leaving the stickiness on the plastic trim around the car, example, the window switches, radio trim, etc. Sometimes after taking off the sticky tape stays on the plastic trim so what is best method of taking that off without scratching the trim.
Thanks

Take it off with a heatgun or hairdryer and remove the glue with goo gone. You need to be certain that nobody used some other glue to stick on a peeling corner or something. Did you put it on or did it come with the car? I did this with a woodgrain dash on a car at work and it worked fine except for a few spots of superglue that there was no way to get off.

It came with the car. But the one on it is not all that nice so need to take it off. Underneath is the regular plastic trim black in color atleast for the radio trim.
Thanks for the help....
Anyone else have any other method?

I have no idea. I would guess just about anywhere. Try walmart or a supermarket. Probably only a couple bucks.
