Is there a point at which.......

you get too **** about your cars cleanliness? i damn near freak out if someone doesnt kick off their feet before getting into my car. i hate when people put their arm out the window while riding and grab the upper door frame.......it leaves nasty azz fingerprints. when people open my trunk, i dont like it when they use the wing to do so........use above the license plate, you cant see that. anyways.......i just feel that maybe im being a jerk, but i clean the Max inside and out once a week, religiously on friday after work, and i hate when people just dont understand the idea of keeping a car as spotless as humanly possible.

plus being stationed in ft huachuca, az sucks. its dusty everywhere and there are so many bugs. so i pretty much HAVE to clean the car once a week or my gray inside will look brown. *sigh*

On every second Sunday, I am unavailable until after 7pm, cause Ive been up since 11 cleaning my car. I have over 16 different products I use on my car (I love my Porter Cable). My first aid kit has a bottle of touch up paint, quick detail spray and microfiber cloth and a paint chip repair kit. I have 5 separate brushes for separate uses. My Maxima even has its own box of q-tips. I am king OCD

Lots of us are like that. I hate it when people do those types of things, too. But it's gonna happen. If what they do only gets the car 'dirty' it's not that bad. Basic cleaning is easy. It's when they do something that might scratch or mar the finish or interoir that I get pi$$ed.

I beat the **** out of a person for even trying to breathe in my car

It's just a car, ppl. These things get dirty, and when they do, we enjoy every sec of our day re-detailing the car.

The responses in this thread isn't too bad. There was a thread about this in the 6th gen forum that was really retarded. Either ppl never had a car, or have the worst case of OCD known to man.

Oh man, I'd be pissed if that happened. Theres all sorts of kids im my neighborhood and sometimes they get a little to close to my car when they're playing outside. I try to keep my car safe from all possible harmful elements. I guess there's only so much you can do.

I would say the only thing that bothers me is like when someone wearing jeans (or anything with metal . .) leans on the car or something like that.

Instant Cure for Maxima OCD

Gentlemen:
Cure, guaranteed for your condition...Move to Canada.
One week of conditions (they vary by region but all are car-hostile all year) here will either break you down in a weeping, slobbering puddle of catatonic goo or a stone rational, 'what can do' guy.
Trouble is, even if you manage the later, it's all just an act and secretly you're the Maxima OCD guy that's quietly going postal over the daily abuse your ride is taking.
Eventually however, you give up and adopt the wash it when you can, don't even look at the swirls approach.
So, c'mon up, gents!

Yall aren't the only ones. When I was in school, we stood outside by my car waiting to leave and it seemed like everyone wanted to lean or put their books on my car. They complained and said it wouldn't scratch it. But I have to keep a dark car clean and it is so hard with all the scratches I get. One of my friends doesn't even care about peoples cars paint, he sat his subs on my trunk once, that left a good looking scratch. Either I'm too **** about my car, or other people just don't care about theirs. About kids, this 5 year old on my street threw a stick at my car, thank goodness it didn't hit it. If it happens again I'm gonna have a talk with their mom, cause I can't hit a 5 year old.

I don't let people lean on my car and I don't allow food or drinks in my car unless its me There was one time my neighbor (about 11 or 12 at the time) got dog crap in my car and I made him clean it out w/his bare hands until there was only smudges left, then I made him scrub it out
