Does this sound right?

I usually clean my car with basic stuff and im happy with the shine i get just from that...i wanna get the shine that you all have...

i was gonna post in tips and tricks....but i aint helping any1 by posting a question in there....

more or less the order im gonna do it...

1. wash car (with meguires deep crystal)
2. use compressed air to get out any stubborn water puddles
3a. clean interior while wheels and windows dry for later steps...do this by using simoniz leather 2 in 1 for leather, mr.clean for door sides, armor all for dash, (carpets, i got my way), vacuum etc...
3b. clean wheels and tires...tire im happy with wat i got...i need help with cleaning stubborn 3 year old brake dust buildup...(im gonna try an all purpose cleaner, then clay bar, then the black magic cleaner i got) followed by wax..
5. was gonna do this " Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze - A polish that will remove slight imperfections and will leave a very nice shine. " but i cant find that at www.canadiantire.ca (any1 know where i can get an equivalent to that in ontario)
6. mothers clay bar
7. wax with " Meguiar's Tech Wax Paste "
anything else i should do?

any answers to 3b rims, and step 5?
after step 7 should i do another wax?

Ditch the Armor all on the dash and get urself some 303 aerospace protectant. wash the car, Clay it, rewash, polish, then wax. The tech wax does not contain carnuba wax which makes darker colored cars paint look much deeper. follow up with a carnuba wax and you should be good to go

(3) Wash
(4) Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
(5) Mother Gold Paint Sealer
(6) Meguiars NXT Tech Wax

Turned out pretty well...

I don't think it really makes a difference. When you use the clay bar you are going to be using spray bottle to wet down the area to be clayed, so I don't think it would hurt. Just make sure that the remaining water is clean rinse water and not sudsy rinse water.

Try the Black Magic Wheel Polish product. It will clean up any deposits of brake dust and stuff on the wheels. Then wax with whatever wax you are using for the rest of the car.

ok,,,, new update on rims...on one of them i have like a black glue on it or something...can i use regular goo gone on it? or should i use car goo gone? (i have the first)...

also...at the edge of the rim where it meets the tire...the rim is in a very weird state ...it looks likes it been slightly damaged or with fungus or something...i first thought maybe it was the mechanics removing the rim or something....but its all over so im guessing its some form of oxidation or wear or something weird as hell growing on it...

any idea what it is and how to take care of it?

I'd have to see this in order to know what it was (is). You can use regular goo gone to get rid of any adhesive on the wheel, it will not effect the finish. As for the rim...

(a) Is the growth still there? If it it fungus it should come right off, as it was the result of being stored improperly. It should wipe off....eeewww
(b) If oxidation has occured that means there were areas where the finish was stripped down to the metal thereby allowing oxidation to occur. That sucks. Something is 'oxidized' when an oxidation-reduction reaction takes place and the steel in the wheel will change from and inert to positive charge state; this could not have occured unless the finish was stripped and bare metal exposed and steel is highly succeptible to electron donation into a 'solvent' such as water under normal conditions.
(c) If a growth persists, take your wheel in for chemotherapy.

ill check it out right now and give a really good description

ok, below is a picture...try downloading it onto ur comp and u can zoom in...its clear enough to get an idea of where it is and how it is...but not wat it looks like or feels like...

check out the back tire, the front was my spare so the rim is spotless lol
edit: cardomain messed with the quality, so u cant tell that much anymore...all u can see is a little fuzy at the edge./..i dled it myself and saw...damn

ok,,,it sorta feels like its been damaged the rim...and like black stuff has gotten in it, sorta like tar or goo...but it still has a rough surface...when i slide my finger at the edge of the rim on my front tire, my finger slides off its so smooth, as oppose to the other one...

and i dont know why...but the other one...its got very fine white lines coming from that damaged/dirty part of the rim and it looks like its going to the inner of the rim,,,,(sorta how a fungus grows lol) maybe its just some liquid...

anyways...could this be from damage hitting the curb a little too many times? its on 3 rims so im thinking the rim was damaged a bit and now **** is just sticking in the dents...ah ? no? ya?
