autodry. substitution soap

has anyone ever used the autodry ststem with a different kind of soap, ie blue coral etc.?

does it matter what kind of soap i use or do i realy have to shell out more moeny for the "special" soap.

one thing i hate about the auto dry ststem is that if you leave it on its side, the soap will leak out. Easy to clean, annoying nonetheless.

NO. Otther soaps will work like *** with the auto dry and will make it pointless. The auto dry soap makes the auto dry part work, take the soap out and it's just a garden hose attachment.

I never seemed to get good results with the Autodry system, guess the water where I live is too hard cuz the car would end up dirtier than when I started using their soap and filter (as directed).

So to answer your question, yes I use it and add Meguiars soap and just use it as a soap dispenser/rinse. The first kind I used was the deep crystal soap and it worked great as a soap dispenser, just turn the **** back and forth and it saves you some time. I bought the NXT Gen soap from Meguiars and it's thick as molasses. I would strongly discourage anyone from using the NXT soap with this thing.
