I am going to have to try Meguiars next... easier to buy it locally instead of waiting for the UPS guy to bring more zaino...

Maybe it doesn't matter to him what the 'other' brands might be since he tried to list the most predominant ones. I just try to follow directions.

Do the Meguiars products sling the tire shine on the paint? After using the Blackfire product, I noticed a lot of product being slung up on the paint.

Nope. Looks like you paint it on. Nothing to sling anywhere.

I like turtle wax tire wax. It's hard to find sometimes very few places sell it. Works very well just make sure you wipe your tires after applying it to keep it from slinging on to your paint.

I use Meguiar's Hot Shine while there is still a little moisture (towel dried but not completely air dried) on the tire and it looks wet for days.

3m Tire and Rubber treatment is the best. All that stuff that has silicone in it will kill your tires.

$9.99 for a pack of 4 cans at Sams Club...cant beat that

To ensure longlasting shine:

1. While washing your car make sure your spray some fantastic or all purpose cleaner on the sidewalls of the tires.
2. Scrub really hard and good...you'll be surprised at how much grease and grime comes off.
3. Let dry (they might look ashy due to past grime..but dont let that scare you) spray prefferred tire shine product.
4. Enjoy the look for a good month or so rain or shine.

I would be careful about that. If you scrub the tires you're going to remove the wax which is built into the tires to protect them, which will tend to make them turn brown as the tire stuff wears off. You really don't need the tires to be super clean. I Westley's Bleche White my tires once or twice a season, and the rest of the time I don't touch them except to apply the 3m stuff. I used to have problems with the tires turning brown when I used to scrub them and apply crappy tire shine, now they stay black and look fine all the time.

Are you sure the Meguiar's has silicon? I didn't think it did. I also didn't think the Turtle Wax Tire Wax had silicon either.

I use Armor All Tire Shine, only because it was all I could find before. Works pretty well, but I'm open to trying some other brands.

I agree with endus, you really shouldn't scrub your tires. I just hose mine off...let them get almost all the way dry...and apply the tire shine. My tires never get brown, even after weeks and weeks of not having new tire shine on them.

Personally, jdjones4, I spray it on an applicator pad and wipe it on.

That is only partly true. Tires turn brown from cleaning them with harsh chemicals, not solely by cleaning them. You shouls scrub your tires with just regular car soap and a brush when you clean your wheels. Also Bleeche White isnt very wheel safe, so I say use another product.

By far the best for protecting your tires and keeping them clean for weeks even after rainstorms

I've used Meguairs, Black Magic & ArmorAll Tire Foam and I honestly think the Armorall did the best job. It left the best shine on my tires. Armorall was not only cheaper, but you only have to spray it on and walk away.

I suggest staying away from ArmorAll's tire foam. The phrase "You get what you pay for," comes into play with this product.

So much for no one posting...

I recently tried the Black magic Tire wet gel and it left some sort of goopy, muddy film on my tires after a few days. I do live on a dirt road which probably has something to do with it. I never have any problems with the armorall extreame tire shine though.

Gold Class High Endurance Gel

Yup. Same here. I do it with the purple ooze...only 1 quick coat, easy on the ooze. If you like ultra wet black tires for weeks then throw on another coat or two.....Don't drive right away with that much on there or else you'll be slinging it all over. Apply sparingly. I doubt the gel tastes as good as it smells. Keep up the feedback!
