Never Had So many Water Spots !!!

Well its been about 4 or 5 months since I did my Klasse AIO, SG, 24 hours, SG, and the P21S wax as a top coat...and its been about 7 weeks since I put on another coat of P21S on the car...

I had the car sitting for a alittle bit of time but the amount of water spots on the roof and on both sides of the car.

I tried the Klasse AIO first...no results...then tried white vinager and no results (NO idea why the Vinager did NOTHING).....then I used the Clay Bar, which was the plan today anyway, and most of them came off...there are still a few on the roof though that I can see if I look closely...
I did the Klasse AIO, and the SG today and Im gonna do another SG tomorrow and a top coat of P21S wax.

What else Can I try on the roof for those stubbern Water spots..??

My question what causes water spots ?? we did have a lot of hot days the past 2 weeks, over 90, almost 100...and a few of those days I did hose the car off while it was sitting...Could that Have done it ??

Ill snap some pics tomorrow

I'm confused, you say that you hosed off your car while it was in the sun when it was 90 to 100 outside? AND you didn't dry it properly?

if that's what you're saying, yes. that's what caused the water spots. It's generally not a good idea to wash your car in the sun. If you have to, spray your car with water after you're done washing a chunk of it. Don't let it air dry. I had to do this once, the clouds went away and the sun started shining during the middle of my wash. It sucks, but it's the only good way to prevent water spots.

anyways, as to removing the water spots, I found the clay bar to be amazing, and the spots that still stayed I used rubbing compound to take them out. Of course the compound I used was too agressive and I still have streaks on my car from the rubbing compound. i need to use some polish to clean that up. But anyways, if there's stuff after the clay and AIO, you probably should use an additional polish between the clay and AIO.

A polish ought to take them out. I've had good luck with the Menzerna twins...Intensive and Final polish.

What kind of rubbing compound did you use?

turtlewax rubbing compound. I clayed, used the rubbing compound, and waxed without using a polish step in between.

It's no big deal, it's just too agressive without first using a polish before the wax step.

Gotcha. Honestly, I've never compounded or polished my car before, but want to desperately. I've considered using the 3M Perfect It II rubbing compound, but am hesitant to do so because I'm still unclear about the agressiveness of it and what it could potentially do to my car, even after using polish.

Would you happen to know if polishes can be aggressive too or does it lie basically in the compounds?

Polishes can be aggressive, too. Generally not quite as aggressive as componds, though.
