I am about to zaino my car but my cars paint isnt in the best condition. It has alot of swirls and light scratches. From what I have heard the z-5 polish is nice but not very good at removing swirls/scratches. what would you recommond I use first to help make the paint look as good as possible.

You would probably need to clay the car paint first then some kind of paint cleaner if your paint is really that bad. You might want to post this question on autopia.com too - the site is dedicated to detailing and have many very helpful people there for advice.

Zaino now makes a polish to remove swirls. I believe it's called ZPC and the 350Z guys swear by it. Here's what I suggest you do:

1. Wash with Dawn...lots and lots of Dawn
2. Clay bar
3. Wash with Dawn again
4. ZPC
5. Wash with Zaino soap (Z7?)
6. Z2 w/ ZFX
7. Remove Z2
8. Spritz with Z6
9. Z5 w/ ZFX
10. Remove Z5
11. Spritz with Z6
12. Repeat Steps 6-11 a couple times
13. Spritz with Grand Finale

You will not regret it when you see what effect this has on your finish.
