Windsheild washer fluid?

Is there a windsheild washer fluid I should get or is a diluted mix of car wash soap and water okay to use? I also thought of a dilution of windex. I'm want something that works well but won't damage or corode anything.

Windex will take off any wax you have on your car, just run to Costco and you can pick up a gallon of washer fluid for 1.99. Don't use soap, imagine the soap foaming up on your windshield.............

Lemme get this straight...you're 24 and you don't know that windshield washer fluid goes in your windhsield washer fluid tank? Have you never been to a car dealership, automotive parts store, or a gas station? You can't miss the washer fluid bottles they stack up in the aisles.

I know those things are available. However, I haven't seen them at a gas station or noticed them at the gas stations down here. Being a full time medical student doesn't afford for quick trips to dealerships and automotive parts store unless emergencies arise. When I made this post originally, I was thinking of what I had lying around the apartment instead of making a 15 minute drive to the nearest automotive store and burning gas money for one bottle of washer fluid. For every ten to fifteen minute trip I make, I lose 30 to 40 minutes of study time.
