Coke on Carpet!

What is the best product to use for removing this from the carpet? Also, how long can I safely leave it before it stains?

oh nooooo.

Rich, pat it down to get all the excess then spray it with some oxy carpet cleaner. Let that soak in then use a towel and try to soak it all up. Pat, not rub so that the carpet doesnt pill up. Let me know if you want some help.

There is a product out called Spot Shot... I spilled some coffee on the seat and floor board and it took it out. As long as it does not get baked in out in the heat of the day this should take care of it. As djfrestyl stated, do not rub it as it will cause it to one spread or two pile the carpet...

I've had excellent results with ScotchGuard cleaner by 3M. Follow the instructions and don't let it sit for too long, otherwise it will clean ALL the dirt from that spot, so that it will be lighter than the surrounding areas.

Hey Rich if you want we can take apart the interior and powerwash the carpet - it'll give us an excuse to dampen the floor and interior!

If you didn't get it off quick enough it will likley dye the carpet in which case you can get carpet dyes to dye it back to normal.

Pour hot water over the soda area, wait few seconds and vacum it up, do it couple times. Thats what we used to do at our detail shop.
